Here’s another photo of Tom Sterling and Paul Kettenburg.

K-38 owner Rick O’Connell. Rick sailed his K-38/#13, MIST, from San Pedro to participate in the Regatta. MIST is in Bristol condition following two years of renovation by Rick.

K-50 owner, xxx.

Tom Kettenburg (L), Alan Peterson, and Rick O’Connell. Tom is the son of Paul Kettenburg and the inspiration for the name TOMBOY given to many of the first off Kettenburg sailboats. Alan owns K-40, xxx, and is responsible for the recent growth and visibility of the Wooden Hull Yacht Club home-ported in Los Angeles.

Paul Kettenburg, Jim Carlisle, and Jim’s brother, Don. Long time Kettenburg owners, Jim and Don sailed from San Pedro on K-xxx, xxx, to participate in the Regatta. Please go to the Boatyard to see more about Jim’s work on xxx.

Paul Kettenburg offered a few remarks about how he and his brother, George, first became involved in boat building in San Diego before he presented the awards to first place finishers in the Regatta.
