CHORUS, K-38 hull #39

Kettenburg designed mahogany sloop Chorus, built 1958, and a well known San Francisco Master Mariner racing sloop. She has amassed a wonderful racing record including winning PHRF class in a number of major Northern California classics (Vallejo, Lightship, Farallones, Windjammers, Cal Coastal to S. Barbara, and Master Mariners), 5th to finish in fleet in 1996 Pacific Cup Race to Hawaii. Partially rebuilt in 1979, 1985, 1992 (Perkins diesel and carbon fibre spade runner), and 1996 in preparation for the race to . Upgades in last several years include new Ballenger aluminum mast and boom, new sails, new cockpit, new galley, new decks, etc. All new running and standing rigging set up by Scott Easom.
